Matt Andersen’s musical household in rural, blue-collar in New Brunswick got him interested in playing early on and by junior high he was in the school band, first on tuba and later on trumpet. He took up guitar at 14, and before long was playing classic rock and Top 40 covers in pub bands while he studied studio engineering. Things changed dramatically, however, when he discovered the blues. “Through Eric Clapton I got into B.B. King, which led me to the Chicago electric stuff and eventually back to the Mississippi Delta guys,” says the 30-year-old singer. “What really hit me most about the blues was its total honesty.” Matt began to build his name on the Canadian circuit, his imposing voice and slashing slide guitar making a monolithic impression on audiences. In 2010 he became the first Canadian to win Memphis’s famed International Blues Challenge, which led to festival dates in France, Italy, and the US, where he toured with Old Crow Medicine Show.

  • Eddie Ifft

    January 25 & 26

    Eddie Ifft

Known for his quick wit and caustic-style of comedy, Eddie Ifft has a habit of speaking first and thinking later and this gets him in trouble – a lot. Having been fired from most jobs, including a short stint at his father’s insurance firm (he was either fired or asked to pursue a new career – depending on who you ask) Eddie took to the stage in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at an open-mic night and realised he was being paid to mouth off…and so his career began.

  • Mike Pace

    February 1 & 2

    Mike Pace

Michael Pace came on to the comedy scene with a mullet, an oversized jacket, a skinny tie and a pair of untied high-tops.  Now?  The jacket is too small, neck-ties drive him crazy and he’s finally learned to tie his shoes.  Michael started on stage in improvisational comedy.  Mike also studied theatre and developed a deep passion for both acting and comedy.  He is proud to say that he is a professional stand-up comedian who has made his living on stage for the last 20 years.  During his comedic tenure, Mike has developed several hours of hilarious stand-up material.  Michael has been seen on Curb Your Enthusiasm and has made several commercials and independent films as an actor.

  • Dwight Slade

    February 8 & 9

    Dwight Slade

Slade’s stand-up has gained international stature after earning a five star review from Scotland’s Minister of Culture at the prestigious Edinburgh Fringe Festival and appearances at the Montreal Just For Laughs Festival. He followed this with a tour in Afghanistan performing for US Troops, a tour of Israel. After a stellar performance at the 2008 Comedy Festival in Las Vegas, Slade was chosen to appear on a Tonight Show feature. Slade’s Hi-Def Comedy Special, “Right & Raunch” is now available on DVD.

  • Patrick Keane

    February 15 & 16

    Patrick Keane

With multiple appearances on the Late Late show with Craig Ferguson, Patrick’s record setting viewer ship on Comedy Central, and his ability to tell the difference between people from Ireland and people from Northern Ireland, Patrick is the obvious choice to be the next host of the Oprah Winfrey show.

    Also featuring Leif Skyving

  • Claude Stuart

    February 22 & 23

    Claude Stuart

From packing comedy venues across the globe to regular television appearances on shows like “The Tonight Show,” and “Last Comic Standing,” Claude Stuart has come a long way from his down home southern roots. By his own admission, he was paddled on more than one occasion for being the class clown.Claude’s explosive, in-yourface, rapid-fire, madman stage style is truly an exhilarating assault on the senses and has evoked comparisons to golden era physical comedians such as Steve Martin, Robin Williams and Jim Carrey. Claude’s unique brand of Don Rickles-esque crowd interaction, coupled with clever well-written jokes makes him not only the world’s first physical insult comedian but a “comedy triple threat!”
