The Ride Sun Valley Fat Tire Criterium marks at long last the arrival of the Thunderdome to the streets of downtown Ketchum. Held on a fast, technical and spectator-stupefying course, this is the race which will make everyone cling to the edge of their seat. Like Evel Knievel said, “Some folks just want to see a man die.”
Starting in front of the Sun Valley Visitor Center with races beginning at 6:00 pm on Tuesday night July 3rd, the Fat Tire Criterium is a multi lap race with amateur and pro categories, kids races and perhaps the most exciting of all, the Ride Sun Valley Stand Off: a four person per team relay race which pits businesses and teams of locals against each other in a quest for Mad Max glory. Prizes will be awarded in both cash and merchandise in all races.
