The Roundhouse Restaurant and Gondola on Baldy is now open for the season!
A classic gourmet lunch will be served from 11-3 pm and Averell’s Wine Bar will be open ll – 4:45 pm.
The Gondola will be in operation 9-5 pm for skiers and non-skiers alike. (Tip for non-skiers; show your foot traffic ticket at the Roundhouse for a $10 discount off any $20 purchase).
Dinner service will begin Thursday, December 8, running through Saturday evenings for the remainder of the winter season. During the Christmas holidays dinner will be served seven days a week, December 23 through December 31. For dinner reservations please call 208-622-2800.
Premiering this July, the new Roundhouse Connector Trail will be a great way to enjoy the spectacular views of Sun Valley and the Pioneer Mountains as well as a perfect opportunity to grab some lunch at the historic Roundhouse Restaurant.
This trail directly connects the Roundhouse Restaurant to the Bald Mountain Trail, which starts at River Run Plaza. As you hike up the Bald Mountain Trail, approximately 3.4 miles on the second switch back of Lower College, you will find the start of the Roundhouse Connector Trail. This trail is a 0.6-mile hike, traversing its way to the Roundhouse Restaurant and has a gradual grade for all levels of hikers to enjoy. Traveling through the giant wilderness, you will experience some of the oldest and largest trees on Bald Mountain, truly a spectacular site. This trail leads you right to the Historic Roundhouse Restaurant and the Roundhouse gondola. At this point, you can take advantage of lunch on the deck to refuel or a scenic ride down our world-class gondola.
